Well, it's the middle of January and 2013 is getting into full swing, and though there's not a big crop of highlight-reel concurrent releases this week, one of my most-missing titles of 2012 is here, along with the first installment of John Scalzi's serial novel The Human Division. Also: at the bottom, ~~three~~ five more "Whispersync for Voice" deals I stumbled across this week.

Well here it is, the first release week of 2013 -- though most of this week's haul do herald from 2012. There's historical fantasy, Warren Ellis, an epic-length sf novel from Peter F. Hamilton, and a new Timothy Zahn Star Wars novel. And, at the bottom, another Whispersync for Voice price quirk. And, don't forget! The first release week in December brings an Arthur C. Clarke Award-winning novel, along with the latest from Mark Hodder and a much-anticipated young adult release, and, well, a few dozen more audiobooks, besides. The last Tuesday in November brings new books in beloved series, as well as a Conan O'Brien-blurbed romp through a fantastical Prague. Still, it's another sequel which most catches my eye, and another sequel (Hannu Rajaniemi's The Fractal Prince) which I'm most disappointed to not see in audio this week.

The last release week in October has a few intriguing new titles, along with a new "gift edition" of Neil Gaiman's Stardust and, as Dave already mentioned, a free short story by Gaiman as well.
