I'm honored to be a guest judge this year for the The Armchair Audies, the audiobook blogosphere's annual "challenge" in conversation with the Audio Publishers Association Audies which will be awarded at the sold-out APA Audies Gala on May 28. The 2014 Audie Award finalists have been announced

Via Booklist Online, the 2014 Audies Finalists have been announced. My first thoughts are 1. that I'm thrilled to see Kim Stanley Robinson's Shaman named as a finalist in the Science Fiction category. And 2, I can't recall a previous year with such a broad base of audio publishers. The 2013 Audie Awards have been announced, including Ellen Kushner's Swordspoint (for best Audio Drama), Karen Thompson Walker's The Age of Miracles (for best Science Fiction), the new Audible production of Claire Danes' narration of Margaret Atwood's The Handmaid's Tale (for best Fiction), the Neil Gaiman Presents production of Keith Roberts' Anita (for best Fantasy), and many more.
